Daniel L. ZumMallen is the vice-president and production manager of Sweeney &
Associates, Inc. Mr. ZumMallen has over 20 years experience in landscape design
and construction. Educated in the United States as a landscape architect, he spent
a year studying horticulture at a botanical garden in Scotland. His horticultural and
landscape architecture education are a great asset to the firm when dealing with
plants and water use requirements. Mr. ZumMallen has also been essential in the
development of the unique CAD design and graphic standards pioneered by the firm
and now used by many in the industry. Mr. ZumMallen is proficient in the use of
both AutoCAD and MicroStation drafting software.
In addition to his duties in production management and project scheduling, Mr. ZumMallen has designed irrigation systems for large projects all over the world including the United States, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Over the last sixteen years, he has designed the irrigation systems for dozens of large sports park projects in Southern California. Mr. ZumMallen's key responsibilities within the organization include coordination and design of irrigation systems, written specifications, submittal reviews, and construction observations.
